Black Book of Secrets - Storyboard (2017)

This was created as part of a university assignment; I believe we had to choose a narrative to storyboard. I can’t remember if we had to storyboard a comic specifically, or whether we could choose, but either way I storyboarded for a graphic novel.

The text I was adapting was from the first chapter of F. E. Higgins’ novel, “The Black Book of Secrets”.

Part of the assignment was also using colour to convey tone, I think. I’m not sure how well I pulled that off, but I tried.

As this is a storyboard and not meant to be a finished comic, the drawings are a bit loose, but I’m quite happy with how this turned out. I think my panelling had improved a lot since some of my previous comic work.
